With its vision of being a “Responsibility- and Impact-Oriented Research University,” Istanbul Technical University (ITU) continues to achieve global academic success that reflects its scientific productivity and interdisciplinary research culture. According to the 2024 results of the world’s most influential scientists list prepared by Stanford University in collaboration with Elsevier, ITU ranked 1st in Türkiye in both the “Career-Long Impact” and “Annual Impact”categories in terms of the number of scientists included.

In the “Annual Impact” category, a total of 64 ITU academics were listed. From our faculty, Prof. Dr. Özgür Atalay and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Meltem Yanılmaz have earned a place on the world’s most influential scientists list.
