Our faculty members Prof. Dr. Nevin Çiğdem Gürsoy, Prof. Dr. Selin Hanife Eryürük, and Prof. Dr. Nazan Okur authored the “Textile and Apparel Sectors” chapter included in MÜSİAD’s “Türkiye’s Industry and Technology Report.”

In the report published by MÜSİAD, the textile and apparel sectors are examined through a data-driven approach across key dimensions such as historical development, production structure, foreign trade performance, employment dynamics, and sustainability-oriented transformation, with the aim of providing strategic recommendations for policymakers and industry stakeholders.

In the chapter’s “Conclusion and Recommendations” section, while emphasizing the sector’s strong global position, the need for transformation is underlined and a framework is presented to sustainably enhance competitiveness.
