The annual meeting of the LivMat project entitled “Productive Catalytic Living Materials: Combining 3D Biobased Fibrillar Membranes With Synthetic Microbial Consortia To Produce Chemicals” conducted within the scope the M-ERA.NET program, was held face-to-face on 7 May 2026 at Kaunas University of Technology in Lithuania.

Researchers from 6 institutions and universities across 4 different countries participating in the project consortium attended the meeting, while Prof. Dr. Alper Gürarslan, the project coordinator, also took part in the meeting on behalf of Istanbul Technical University.

During the meeting, the scientific and technical progress achieved throughout the project was evaluated, coordination among the work packages was discussed and strategic planning for the next stages of the project was carried out. Project partners shared recent research outcomes through technical and scientific presentations, while comprehensive discussions were held regarding sustainable collaboration, effective management of joint activities and upcoming project tasks.

The annual meeting was successfully completed, contributing significantly to strengthening scientific communication and technical coordination among the project partners.
