The project titled “Surface Engineering of Textile Substrates via Selective Metallisation for Designing Functional Smart Textiles in Wearable Electronics,” led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. İkilem Göcek, one of our faculty members, has been awarded support under the TÜBİTAK 2219 program.
Within the scope of her project, Assoc. Prof. Dr. İkilem Göcek will conduct research on the development of next-generation functional smart textiles that can be used in health technologies and wearable electronics.
The study, which will be carried out in collaboration with Coventry University in the United Kingdom, aims to develop innovative solutions in the field of wearable technologies by bringing together advanced surface engineering, smart textiles, and user-centered design approaches.
The project is expected to contribute to our country’s research capacity in smart textiles and health technologies, while further strengthening ITU’s international research and collaboration ecosystem.
We congratulate our faculty member.
