Within the scope of the Horizon 2020 Program Marie Sklodowska-Curie Scholarship and Circulation Support (MSCA) Individual Fellowship 2020 call, our faculty member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Meltem Yanılmaz's project titled "Composite Solid Electrolyte development for all solid state Lithium BATterieS (CSE-LBATTS)" with the acronym "CSE-LBATTS" was supported by the European Commission.

With the project, in which the design and production of nano-composite electrolytes that will increase the performance and safety of lithium batteries, which are widely used in electric vehicles and portable electronics, will be realized, international collaborations will be established and it is aimed to develop high-performance energy storage systems containing solid electrolytes.

The budget of the project, which will take place under the coordination of ITU and Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Kızıl is a consultant, is approximately 260000 Euros.

İTÜ Faculty of Textile Technologies and Design

Textile Engineering Department of Istanbul Technical University (İTÜ) is the first and the single one offering textile engineering education in Istanbul, and also comes first among the top textile engineering schools in Turkey. Its history could be traced back to 1955; the year in which the textile division was established in the body of Mechanical Engineering. The school gained its current name and independent status in 1983. Therefore, it is obvious that the Textile Engineering Department is fairly new compared to the history of İTÜ stretching back to 240 years.
