In the 2022-2023 Academic Year, when ITU celebrates its 250th anniversary, undergraduate and graduate graduates of ITU experienced the enthusiasm of the graduation ceremony held on the evening of 23 June at the Ayazağa Campus.
The 250th anniversary graduation ceremony, proudly celebrated by Istanbul Technical University, took place on the evening of June 23 at Ayazağa Campus, ITU Stadium, with great enthusiasm. Students who graduated from Textile Engineering, Fashion Design, Textile Development and Marketing Undergraduate Programs and Textile Engineering, Innovative Technical Textiles, Apparel Retail and Fashion Management graduate programs experienced the excitement of passing an important milestone in their lives and throwing their caps.
At the ceremony that took place on the same day as the World Women Engineers Day, our Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail KOYUNCU on the importance of the day and the historical role of ITU: “Our first female engineers, such as Altan Edige and Sabiha Gürayman, in the history of the Republic, started to serve the country after graduating from ITU. ITU's leadership in this matter continues today. Almost half of our academics are women.” His words drew attention.
We congratulate all our undergraduate and graduate graduates who threw their caps at the 250th anniversary graduation ceremony and wish them continued success.
