Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özgür Atalay gave an invited talk and joined the panel discussion at the Future Material Conference, MOME in Hungary.

One of our faculty members, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özgür Atalay, represented our institution as an invited speaker at the Future Materials Conference, organized by the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design's Innovation Center. The prestigious two-day event, held in Budapest, Hungary, brought together experts and innovators in the field.

Dr. Atalay, a renowned researcher in the domain of textile-based soft robot technology, delivered a compelling presentation on the critical significance of soft robot technology in healthcare services. The conference, which focused on emerging materials and technological advancements, provided a platform for leading experts to share their knowledge. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özgür Atalay's lecture not only highlighted the cutting-edge research conducted at our faculty but also contributed to the global discourse on the future of materials and technology.

İTÜ Faculty of Textile Technologies and Design

Textile Engineering Department of Istanbul Technical University (İTÜ) is the first and the single one offering textile engineering education in Istanbul, and also comes first among the top textile engineering schools in Turkey. Its history could be traced back to 1955; the year in which the textile division was established in the body of Mechanical Engineering. The school gained its current name and independent status in 1983. Therefore, it is obvious that the Textile Engineering Department is fairly new compared to the history of İTÜ stretching back to 240 years.
