Our Research Assistant, Handan Palak, who is pursuing her doctoral studies, has been awarded a Research Scholarship and has conducted her scientific work at Cornell University in the United States, in the Fiber Science department, for one year in 2024.
Our research assistant, Handan Palak, who is currently pursuing her doctoral studies under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Burçak Karagüzel Kayaoğlu, a faculty member at our institution, has been awarded the TÜBİTAK 2214-A Doctoral Research Fellowship. She earned this recognition for her project titled “Development and Characterization of Cellulose Nanocrystal (CNC) Loaded Polylactic Acid (PLA)/Poly(butylene adipate-co-terephthalate) (PBAT) Biodegradable Nanocomposite Films by Electrospinning and Solution Casting Methods.” As part of this fellowship, she conducted her scientific research in the Fiber Science Department at Cornell University in the United States under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tamer Uyar for one year in 2024.
