The İTUTEK technical visits offered students the chance to explore leading companies' production facilities while engaging in cultural discoveries in İzmir, Manisa, and Denizli.
The Istanbul Technical University Textile Engineering Club organized comprehensive technical visits that combined industrial experience with cultural exploration. Students had the opportunity to examine production facilities of globally recognized companies and discover the cultural heritage of the İzmir, Manisa, and Denizli regions.
The first stop on the technical trip was the Hugo Boss factory in İzmir. Students had the chance to closely observe the production processes of this globally renowned brand and explore workplace conditions firsthand. The journey continued in Manisa, where the group visited the production facilities of TYH Tekstil, a leading company in ready-to-wear and fabric production. Students gained insights into both the technological infrastructure and working conditions of the industry. After the technical visits, the group concluded their trip with a tour of the ancient city of Ephesus, blending history with culture.
In Denizli, a city renowned for its home textiles, the group visited companies such as Menderes Tekstil, Ozanteks, and Efesan. These visits provided an in-depth look at production processes, technological advancements, and quality management practices. The program concluded with a cultural tour of Pamukkale’s travertines.
These visits organized by the İTÜ Textile Engineering Club allowed students to enhance their academic knowledge and gain new perspectives on the textile industry. The hands-on exposure also provided valuable insights into potential future work environments, according to participating students.
