In 2019, in order to meet the need for qualified workforce in the textile sector, a scholarship project up to the minimum wage was implemented for the students who entered the first 80 thousand in the university exam and were entitled to enter the department by choosing one of the first 5 choices of textile engineering. With this scholarship, an 80% increase is observed in the base score of our Textile Engineering Department in 2021, and our student who entered our department with the first place is in the top 8000.

For the preparations of the scholarship project this year, an evaluation meeting on educational scholarships was held via the Zoom platform with the participation of Member of the Executive Board of YÖK Prof. Dr. Ömer Açıkgöz, Heads of Textile and Leather Engineering Departments, Chairman of the Board of Istanbul Ready-to-Wear and Apparel Exporters' Association Mustafa Gültepe, Chairman of the Board of Istanbul Textile and Raw Materials Exporters' Association Ahmet Öksüz, Chairman of the Istanbul Leather and Leather Products Exporters' Association Mustafa Şenocak and members of the relevant associations responsible for education.
