International Textile and Fashion Congress (ITFC 2023) will be held on 16-17 March 2023 at ITU Gümüşsuyu Campus.

"International Textile and Fashion Congress (ITFC 2023)", which will be hosted by our faculty and organized as part of the 250th anniversary events of our university, will take place on 16-17 March 2023 at ITU Gümüşsuyu Campus.

At the congress, which will bring together academics and industry representatives from many different countries, the participants will have the opportunity to make their presentations in the fields of engineering and fashion. The theme of the congress, which consists of six main categories, is innovative textiles and fashion trends that overcome global challenges.

İTÜ Faculty of Textile Technologies and Design

Textile Engineering Department of Istanbul Technical University (İTÜ) is the first and the single one offering textile engineering education in Istanbul, and also comes first among the top textile engineering schools in Turkey. Its history could be traced back to 1955; the year in which the textile division was established in the body of Mechanical Engineering. The school gained its current name and independent status in 1983. Therefore, it is obvious that the Textile Engineering Department is fairly new compared to the history of İTÜ stretching back to 240 years.
