Sustainability and Circular Fashion Panel Held at Our Faculty

The "Sustainability and Circular Fashion in Textiles and Ready-to-Wear" panel, organized by the Sustainability and Circular Fashion Committee of the Fashion and Ready-to-Wear Federation (MHGF), was held on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at Istanbul Technical University (İTÜ) Faculty of Textile Technologies and Design, Gümüşsuyu Prof. Dr. Necmettin Erbakan Campus. The event brought together academics, industry representatives, and experts working in the field of sustainable fashion.

TÜBİTAK 1001 Project Led by Our Faculty Member Assoc. Prof. Dr. İpek Yalçın Eniş Has Been Successfully Completed

TÜBİTAK 1001 project titled “Observation of Autograft Formation and Comprehensive Analysis of the Preclinical Process through Long-Term Implantation of Double-Layered Small-Caliber Vascular Grafts Produced from Biodegradable Polymeric Fibers into the Porcine Carotid Artery,” conducted under the leadership of our faculty member Assoc. Prof. Dr. İpek Yalçın Eniş, has been successfully completed.

A First from İTÜ: EUR-ACE Label for Our Graduate Programs Accredited by MÜDEK

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özgür Atalay Receives Support under the ERC 2024 Proof of Concept Call

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Atalay’s ongoing project hosted by İTÜ, TEXWEAROTS: Textile-Based Wearable Soft Robotic Systems with Sensing, Actuation, and Self-Strengthening Capabilities, was previously funded under the ERC-2021-StG call. The TEXWEAROTS project combines textile technology and robotics to develop textile-based robotic structures aimed at aiding individuals with muscle weakness in their treatment process.

Our Laboratory’s TÜRKAK Accreditation Renewed

Since May 2015, our ITU Textile and Apparel Quality Control and Research Laboratory, the first and only TÜRKAK-accredited lab at our university, has successfully passed its November 1, 2024 surveillance audit.

Our Research Assistant Handan Palak Successfully Completed Her Research at Cornell University with the Support of TÜBİTAK 2214-A Scholarship

Our Research Assistant, Handan Palak, who is pursuing her doctoral studies, has been awarded a Research Scholarship and has conducted her scientific work at Cornell University in the United States, in the Fiber Science department, for one year in 2024.
