The work of our Fashion Design Program sophomore Alara Alarcin's work "Oriental Breeze" has been selected to be exhibited at the FIT Graduation Exhibition 2021 - AAS. The work named “Oriental Breeze”, prepared by our student inspired by eastern culture, modern Egyptian and Indian art, consists of a patchwork dress.

To the attention of students who will graduate in the 2020-2021 Spring Semester

According to the decision taken at the meeting of the University Senate dated 25.02.2021 and numbered 763, for the Spring Semester of the 2020-2021 Academic Year, provided that the students who will graduate at the end of the Spring semester complete at least half (50%) of the total internship obligation if they complete their courses and compulsory internship. It has been decided that it is appropriate to exempt them from the compulsory internship obligation.

Our Fashion Design Program Graduate Nazlım Naz Arslan and her Digital Magazine Midsole Mag

Midsole Mag, which is the Editor-in-Chief of our Fashion Design Program graduate Nazlım Naz Arslan, is Turkey's first sneaker-focused digital magazine. The first issue of which was published in March 2020, the magazine meets with its readers with the aim of explaining that the phenomenon defined as sneaker fashion is not a temporary trend, but a culture from the past to the present and to be a part of this culture. In Midsole Mag, the sixth issue of which was published, it is possible to access content with the themes of culture & art, music, beauty and space, as well as sneakers and fashion.

In our Garment Design Management lesson on April 9, 2021, we hosted Only Turkey Manager Akgül Şahin Mican from Bestseller. He gave a very useful seminar to our students about clothing design processes and current trends.

Within the scope of our HGP Master's Program, Fashion and Aesthetics course, the first guest of this term was our dear graduate Türkü Şahin. She shared effects of all pandemics experienced so far on clothing systems, the interpretations of the seasonal trends shaped by the impact of COVID-19 in the last two years , and her predictions on how fashion will be affected in the coming seasons with us .
